I know, I know, I'm a die-hard classical player, but I used to play in a rock band through college to fund my classical guitar studies. So, to this day I always keep at least one rock guitar on hand. Well, this week I finally broke down and bought the ultimate electric guitar. It has an awesome flame maple top and birdseye maple neck. Can you guess the maker???

Cheers!

John

I would say Peavey but I have seen birdseye like that on alot of MusicMan necks as well.

I'm going to guess Peavy Wolfgang model. It's not a McInturff.... have an Empress from Terry and he is a friend of mine so I know his models very well.

I've also had several Wolfgangs over the years and wish I would have kept them all every time I sold one.

Man, you guys are too quick! I covered up the D-tuna and headstock on purpose thinking that would throw you off a little longer. There's no covering up the shape though. Everybody that said a Peavey Wolfgang pat yourself on the back. It's taken over 25 years of playing guitar (since 4th grade), but I finally found the BROWN SOUND!!!!! The pickups are custom wound to Eddies specs and screwed directly into the maple wood top. The sound is completely different than any other guitar I've played. For you guys that sold yours, there are still some nice specimens on Ebay, but the price seems to be slowly going up.

Cheers!

BTW that's about the nicest bird's eye neck I've seen. The one I have is nice, but yours is the best I've seen.

That's a decent axe...but you said name the BUILDER, not the factory! I'm just teasing you, but I like to see the hand-build electrics as much as the acoustics.

Would this guitar happen to be named after Eddie and Val's first born?

Lard for everybody!!! I guess this was too easy. For you guys that have a Wolfgang, check out WolfgangGuitars.com. It's a really nice website with info about anything you'd ever want to know about the Wolfgang and Musicman guitars.

Actually, I bought the guitar off of E-bay. I've had very good luck buying and selling instruments on E-bay. If you look at the guitars up for sale at the Wolfgangguitars.com website, I paid less than half of what they are asking there, and mine truely is in "like new" condition.

Cheers!
